A page dedicated to figuring out what Brainsive is/will become… In my heart of hearts, this page would be a WIKI.
What is Brainsieve?
Good question.
Is this a blog?
No
Is this necessarily going to be built on Wordpress?
Heck no. It’s not necessarily going to be built of/on/or with anything, yet. Wordpress is the point of departure because we currently know how to drive that. We need people who are more techiesmart to help choose tool/s and platform/s to execute the Brainsieve vision.
Is it a Life Stream?
We don’t think so. The point is NOT to mash every gesture we ever make online into one firehose pipe that god-only-knows-who would ever really want to read. The point is some kind of index, home base, destination that connects, aggregates and sends you back out to the various modes of expression in some way. But we think Brainsieve has a lot to learn from LifeStreams. They are a useful point of departure, ergo, we are collecting LifeStream links below. Send us yours.
We truly don’t understand the Brainsieve yet. We want to know what you think. What are your ideas? Frankly, that’s why most of the copy here will be written using “we” not I.

Okay then, how is it different from a LifeStream?
- NOT a ginormous mashup of every droplet of content tossed into a river and sequenced chronologically.
- Audience-centric. NOT about the person generating the content. How can we serve YOU?
- Connects, but DOES NOT CONTAIN all of the content generated.
- Editorially parses everything in some way so that there is the option of subscribing to a single, simplified, high signal-to-noise-ratio output stream.
What does the Brainsieve contain?
Actual content and/or CONNECTIONS TO CONTENT that we generate.
What do you mean by content?
So happy you asked. Blog entries, essays, links, Tweets, Seesmics, Utterz, [______]s, photos, videos, audio, live shows, recordings, voicemails, links, thoughts, ideas, sharing, recognition, praise, gestures and above all, love.
Who is “we?”
Next question.
Can I get my own Brainsieve?
Um…? Huh.
Maybe.
